Score points for the most hilariously believable headlines using Image and Topic cards, for the chosen Audience you're trying to target.
Each round, one player pulls an Audience card and secretly gets into character as the intended audience: for example, Conpsiracy Theorists. The Audience player then lays image cards face up on the table, and deals topic cards to everyone else. Players then take turns playing a topic card to an image card to synthesize an amusing headline, and read it out loud. After all turns, the Audience player reveals his role and picks the best and worst headlines of the bunch.
Maybe you have the word "Welfare" in your hand: play it to a picture of a birdhouse. You could spin out "Secret documents reveal government plan to offer welfare housing to birds". If the Audience turns out to be "conspiracy theorists", you've just landed some dynamite Fake News.
Players can alternately agree not to keep the Audience role a secret: go ham with your headlines, with your intended audience well in mind!
