In Concept, your goal is to guess words through the association of icons. A team of two players – neighbors at the table – choose a word or phrase that the other players need to guess. Acting together, they place pieces on icons on the game board.
To get others to guess "milk", the team might place the "main concept" marker on the liquid icon, then go for "food/drink" and "white". For a more complicated concept, such as "Leonardo DiCaprio", the team can clue players into the hidden phrase being an actor or director, while then gives clues to particular movies in which DiCaprio starred, like Titanic or Inception.
Concept Kids: Animals is a cooperative version of the game Concept, adapted for play with children aged 4 and up.
Children group up to try and get a single person to guess an animal. Take the top card of the deck, without looking at it, and place it in the card holder so that only the kids can see it.
Next, the kids place a marker on an icon on the game board to try and help the guesser figure out the animal. You can attempt to answer as many times as you want. Orange? Striped? Lives in the jungle? Eats meat? Sounds like a tiger to me! Guess the animals and win together!
